In recent years, attitudes toward psychedelics have largely changed. Part of that is the rise of other psychedelics such as MDMA and Magic Mushroom used for therapeutic purposes, and psychedelics are slowly being released nationwide. But it also encourages different domains to talk about their use of psychedelics, too.
There have been several Black celebrities who have come out in the open about their intellect, either for creative or recreational purposes (Lil Nas X picking mushrooms for the first time while writing his first 2021 album, Monero) or for medical purposes (in his 2021 autobiography book Will, Will Smith shared that he stumbled on ayahuasca 14 times while separated from his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith).
Psychedelics and World
Despite this, there is still a reasonable fear of taking psychedelics – or any drugs – as a black person, as a result of the United States Drug War. This, coupled with the exclusion of black people from the psychedelics community across the United States, prevents those who want to know from trying these things – especially Magic Mushroom, better known as magic mushrooms or, more simply, mushrooms.
Fortunately, shrooms have become one of the leading mental illnesses in the United States, and some of the cities behind this conviction have a large population – of black people (like Detroit, which introduced mental purity – including shrooms – late last year). As these excuses, hopefully, become more and more common, it is appropriate for Black people to be able to safely participate in the use of ornaments and to know our broad history of the mentally ill.
“We can no longer distinguish mushrooms from the history of the war on drugs, [which] has plagued and disrupted our communities,” said Ifetayo Harvey, founder of the People of Color Psychedelic Collective. “We have to see that we have been told the wrong thing so we have to re-educate ourselves about these things because many come from traditional cultures including black people.”
Before someone jumps on trying shrooms, it is important to have an understanding of the therapeutic journey and its mind-altering effects. This is a guide on how to do it safely as a black person, with the benefits of trying, what to expect, and more.
First, are the shrooms for me, and what are the benefits?
Dropping a magic mushroom may seem appealing to beginners, but knowing if you’re ready to try it means paying attention to it and seeing it as more than just having fun, like Josh Richardson, a mushroom activist and CEO of The High-End Affair, it said.
“We can use these compounds for healing and we can use them to make a difference in our society,” Richardson said. “… With a dose of treatment, you can eliminate epigenetic trauma for your good. If you recognize [mushrooms] as a tool for personal growth and development, they will recognize it and begin to help you. ”
For those who are determined to take a more serious approach to use shrooms, there may be some beneficial changes.
“I’ve heard people describe one psychedelic session as more effective than a decade of speech therapy,” said Robin Divine, founder of the Black People Trip and the Black Psychedelic Equity Fund, said, Robin Divine. “While it may sound like a huge improvement right now, people have to work on integration later to integrate lessons and knowledge into their daily lives.”
What are the effects of shrooms?
The effects of magical mushrooms range from distorting the user’s perception of time to blocking the way the brain processes emotions. Since psilocybin fungi are fungi, users may also experience nausea when something enters. Ayize Jama-Everett, author, entheogen activist, and founder of the sacred herbal conference Our Table described the spectrum.
“I have met people who ate large amounts of mushrooms. They once felt light and love and kissed the world. I met people who took very low doses of mushrooms and cried for five straight hours, ”said Jama-Everett. “Western medicine, we think of it as you take aspirin, and then aspirin makes your head feel better. They are not mushrooms, they work with what already exists. ”
Are there different types of shrooms?
An important part of safely taking magic mushrooms is familiarity with the House of Shrooms of powerful species. The Golden Teacher (also known as Psilocyne Aurumescens) guides meditation, visual distortion, and high mood. Psilocybe Cubensis B + is ready to start, producing warm and airy energy. The mental mushroom canon is unlimited, and beginners can choose to take small doses for easy results or take heavy amounts to get immersed immersion. Also, it is important to note that when a person is taking Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), a drug used in antidepressants, it can cause a challenging journey, competing with Magic Mushroom to reach the user’s serotonin receptors.
Harvey praised the Golden Teacher and another type of visual and auditory element, known as the Albino Penis Envy or “APE.” APE is a very powerful, subvariety of psilocybe cubensis with vibrant colors, causing extended readers, distorted true sense, and spiritual enlightenment.
“With the envy of Albino Penis, you can take two grams and have a great trip,” he said. “You do not have to take many mushrooms to get the result. It is truly one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had. ”
What are some ways I can get shrooms?
All kinds of mushrooms whether fresh or dehydrated. There are also ways to enhance the psychoactive feeling by eating oranges, ginger, or THC. Since magic mushrooms are usually dried, they can be re-concentrated in a capsule so that the dose is effectively controlled. Those looking for a fun trip may prefer to cook shrooms, too.
“I like to tell people that you can’t add too much heat to Magic Mushroom. “Most people like to experience [by incorporating] it in food, which takes turkey tail or lion’s mane – things that are commonly identified as adaptogenic – and are associated with low doses of psilocybin,” says Steward. ” You will not be able to heat psychedelic mushrooms at a certain temperature, which is usually 160 degrees. ”
Should I make shrooms on my own or with others?
Once users have their problems and clean or eat the shrooms completely, they can decide whether to go it alone. With the person sitting on the trip or group. The decision is also based on a person’s intention to stumble. Whether the person wants to understand more about his or her knowledge. See triple images, or resolve personal trauma. Those who need an isolated contact throughout their journey can also use the real-time. Fireside Project support program and trained psychedelic care providers.
“For beginners, it is very important that they are determined in the way they enter. I also feel like it’s a community experience, so if you do it alone, the results may be even different if you do it with a friend, ”said Kristina Modeste, an MFA Clinical Psychology MFA Student at San Francisco State University. “Even doing some shadow work before taking something that can expose a lot of trauma is very important, especially if you want to have a satisfying journey.”
Charlottes James, founder of the psychedelics educational forum, the Ancestor Project, also suggested that early users set boundaries to stay strong when they stumble upon a team.
“If you are planning to go out with friends. Talk before taking medication to find out what is right and wrong for the rest of the trip,” he said.
Where should I make shrooms?
Traveling around the globe can be either harmful or degrading. As some suggest that the drug should be out-of-date to share instincts.
“I think a lot of houses, apartments [and] adjoining houses, their walls hold a lot of energy. Many memories can be connect to that power, ”Modeste said. “If your goal is to dedicate yourself to a learning program, I recommend that you [be] out where you can interact with things.”
What can I do to humble myself when I pick up shrooms?
Other trips do not happen without a little chaos. Steward said beginners of magic mushrooms can easily find it by setting their spirit on purpose.
“My stuff [wearing] comfortable clothes, having lots of bedding, and having muscle because you’ll end up crying once,” she said. “Being able to have a journal, to have crystals – I like to set up ancestral images of my grandparents. There are a variety of things you can do, but make sure you are comfortable. And sensible as you go on that journey. ”
To stabilize the videos, which can take up to six hours. You can also make music playlists to deepen the feel. Travel can also be artistic, so users can paint or have a coloring book to express their child-like theme. Finally, taking Magic Mushroom is based on cessation of control. And for black people It means tracking the experiences of ancestral directors.
