Different Types of Bolts and Their Uses

• Anchor Bolts:

It is mainly used to connect structural and non-structural elements to concrete. Also available in a wide range of anchor bolts that can be protected from concrete to small conical drywall anchors. These Bolts come in four types: L Shaped, double-end rods with plate, headed, and wedge, each having their own sizes and applications. The bolts prevent the separation, lifting, moving, and falling of the object.

• Carriage Bolts

• Elevator Bolts

·  Hex Bolts:

Used to fasten two or more parts together. Frequently used fasteners and are generally suitable for heavy-duty applications. DIC offers zinc, black oxide, and other coatings as the customer require. Hex Bolts sizes start from 1/4” diameter and go up to 2-1/2”. Bolt with a hexagonal head and threaded body. The section immediately under the head may or may not be threaded.

• T Bolts

T-Bolts are intimately related to coach screws and are useful in making jigs and fixtures, especially when used with our aluminum extrusions. T-shaped head in order to be held by a wrench or to be effortlessly fixed in place. It provides a long-lasting connection. Standard: DIN 186, DIN 188, DIN 261, DIN 885, JIS 1168, JIS 1169 or according to customer’s drawing. Often used to make a bolted joint.

• J Bolts

• Square Bolts

Toggle Bolts are also known as butterfly anchors. Used for hanging objects on hollow walls such as drywall. Bolts have folding metal “wings” that are held near to be inserted into a drilled hole.
