The same happens with your children, they are too young to understand all of this and it could lead to low self-esteem.
As a parent, caretaker, or guardian, you must save your children from going into that trap. Now, the question arises… how do we develop self-esteem in our kids? It’s pretty simple, you must start encouraging them to take more challenges and learn from the mistakes.
Remember, as a parent, your role is to guide them not to provide the solution right away or to criticize them. In order to increase or develop self-esteem within kids, I have enlisted 10 simple and effective self-esteem activities for kids in this blog.

1. Let them pack their stuff for trips
In order to build self-esteem in your kids, let them pack for their stuff for trips. You can guide them with the stuff they might need but let them pack. If they keep forgetting things to pack, you can also help them in preparing a checklist so that they can pack their stuff with full confidence. If you are concerned about organized stuff, let them first complete on their own, then organize their travel case and guide them simultaneously.
2. Invent a recipe, guide them, and let them take the lead
This is one of my favorite activities for increasing or developing self-esteem in our kids. For this activity, you will have to invent a recipe, suppose you have to teach your kids how to make butter cookies with chocolate chips, you can start by providing the required material list, or you can also ask them to prepare the list, ask them to collect all the materials and let them take the lead while cooking cookies. In this way, they will also be able to learn kitchen etiquette.

3. Indulge them with slime
Slime is really a mood lifter and it can also help in developing self-esteem in your kids. Wondering how? Help your kids to make slime on their own. You can give them the ingredients or ask them to collect the ingredients. Guide them and do not interfere with them. Keep praising their efforts so that they will put their 100% while creating slime additionally, it will help you in increasing the bond with your kids as well.
4. Provide them a chore with a purpose
This is one of the best activities, to begin with. You can assign one different chore every day so that they can learn and enhance their abilities. Make sure you start with something simple and quick so that they can develop interest at the same time. The chore you are assigning should be of purpose like you can ask them to make their own bed or ask them to take care of the pet till you prepare meals for them. PS: Do not assign the same tasks every day.
5. Let them serve during meals
Kids love to help their parents, be it a small task, they actually love or enjoy tasks asked by their parents. You can begin by asking them to serve or let them make their own plate. In this way, they will learn about each other, it will increase family bonding, and additionally, it will develop their motor skills, and it will also make them confident.
6. Maintain a self-esteem journal
By asking them to maintain a self-esteem journal, you will be able to develop various skills in your children like self-esteem, confidence, writing skills, cognitive skills, and more. Whenever they write a journal, make sure they write everything related to it like gratefulness, strengths, weakness, and everything. In this way, they will also be able to explore their feelings and thoughts about things. In the journal, they can write about highlights, things that make them peaceful, things they enjoy, and more.
7. Let them create, let them explore, and let them learn
You can also ask them to create something on their own; it can be something creative or artistic. With the help of their created art, you will be able to explore their feelings. Additionally, they will also be able to explore their feelings and thoughts. while they create something, let them do whatever they want, if they go wrong somewhere, do not stop them, instead, guide them later and let them learn from their mistakes.

You can teach them one positive word every day so that they can include that positive word in their vocabulary and can reflect on them whenever required. You can also teach them affirmations so that they can put that positive word into the affirmation as well.
